Leaky heads let combustion gasses out instead of cooling water in. An exhaust leak will cause exactly what you are describing. Remove the blowout door and see if it is any better.

Yup, sounds just like an exhaust leak.

If your head gasket is leaking, you'd have lower compression. Do a compression check.

compression is 150psi in both cylinders, but it does have a newer 91+ head on it thats supposed to get around 175 psi.
