Other Silver Lake Sand Dunes - Lake Michigan

Does anyone know if you can haul your standups to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Beach? We have a big weekend with friends planned there and the closest Lake Michigan access is 9 miles north in Pentwater.
I would be willing to put them in my truck and drag them across the dunes if they let me. I would have to buy and ORV license ($16.25), park entrance fee ($10) and an ORV flag, pole, and mounting bracket ($40). I don't want to invest in all that if they don't let me in.
I called the park office and the girl didn't know.

Not anymore.
They used to let you launch on the beach, but that's a thing of the past. I'm not sure if a beach cart would be allowed or not though. That might be one they'd let slip by. I can't believe the girl at the park office couldn't tell you!

Thanks fsg.
There would be a whole bunch of my friends there that could help me carry them across the beach (JS550 and SJ). I would probable leave the cart at home - Less crap to try to haul over the dunes. I'm going to call later and try to talk to someone else.
If it is completely subjective to who is there the day and time I show up, that isn't good either.

FYI
I used my Hitch Carrier on my truck and drove across the dunes with my SJ hanging off the back. Parked at the beach and hand carried it to the lake (short walk). Rode all day and no one hassled us at all.
AWESOME

I have a picture of my truck with my 2 place trailer at the top of "test hill". It's the big hill where everyone hangs out and watch eachother climb. I looked at my friend and asked him if it was okay since his ski was on the trailer too and he said go for it. I got some pretty funny looks for sure.

Then they outlawed pulling trailers up there. After that I did put the ski in the bed of my truck one time and we hand carried it to the beach. Not sure if they will still let you, but my guess is that it will be fine.

It's pretty easy to make your own flag mount if you want to save $40. If you have a tow hook on the front of your truck just take a couple pieces of flat stock and drill a hole through each of them so you can put a bolt through the holes and sandwich down on the tow hook. I think the hole for the flag is 3/8" but I'm not positive. Haven't been up there in years now.
