Freestyle Single 44 carb tuning advice

Seems my setup is very thirsty down low and I want advice before I keep chasing my tail.

61x/61x JM 718 ported motor
Single mikuni 44 stock reeds
Msd enhancer
PUSH 155 pump with 5/10 prop, bored nozzle
Bpipe limited
BAM hull 75lbs

Just about everything is new on this build.
Tried Bpipe jetting recs but it seems to still want more fuel down low.

Current carb settings
122.5 pilot
147.5 main
2.0 NS 95gram spring, pop off tested at 22psi give or take.

Low jet screw is at 2.75 turns out in order to “almost” clear up the very slight off idle hesitation. Overall runs great, even the hesitation is faint but I want to clear it up.

Which option is more ideal?
1) lower pop off to 18psi (I’d prefer 22psi to keep needle from leaking)

2) try a bigger pilot jet, like 130-135?

I’ve run that exact setup (except the pump, it was a 144mag) and I was at 125 pilot, 160 main. I assume with a high compression head. When I jumped up to a 130 pilot and everything else stayed the same it would gurgle a little before it cleaned up. 127.5 might be perfect also. I’d go a hair richer on the main than you have it if you are going to be holding it wide open often.

Thanks I’m going to be playing with the jetting this week. I’ll probably leave pop off where it’s at. I’ve also had good results with reverse jetting on a dual carb dasa 1100. I’m tempted to use that same logic in this case and use 135L/135H
