I’m having a hard time understanding how that happens unless the piston was in the top of the bore.

If it makes you feel better we just found this same setup when we pulled down a 2018 Mercedes G550 4x4 squared. Piston pin had smashed the hell out of the cylinder as the engine kept running somehow. That engine is $80k wholesale from the dealer though.

hey bud, im new to the site and need some help, i believe ive got a 701 head but im really not sure how much these things are worth as i cant find one anywhere, looks to be in good condition with no erosion or rusting, could you be of any help?
