^Just like what Wanderer said. Definitely looks like it was built for racing.

Also looks like a well-maintained ski. The engine bay is clean.

what about the pricing?

What about it? Value is relative.I think its fairly priced as long as the cranks good and compression is even. Race boats hit 7500 rpm all the time for extended periods if the rider is good. Looks like a race build so it'll probably come on real strong in the midrange. Those SRE carbs seem to struggle with "idle" type metering, but when you open them up,hold on. Does that help?

It's a fair price if everything works as it should and if it's as well taken care of as the cleanliness would suggest. But don't go thinking that you can take an ex-race boat and go "nimble freestyle boat ninja stuff" on it.

Price is very fair assuming it's mechanically as good as it looks.

It's true that a race ski isn't going to have that grunt you expect, but you are coming from a SXR, which is built to race and has high porting. You will be happy. if you decide you want to go for more snap and less peak horse power, change out the pipe, and sell the motor (assuming it's been race ported) to someone more interested, and get a freeride ported motor and a B-pipe.

$3800 is a great place to start. You may have a race boat, but you'd have a small fortune to sell/trade on freeride parts if that's what you want. It's not like you're buying a -5 flatwater ski you need longer to race.

If that's a super stock motor it'll have all kinds of power. An impeller/nozzle change and maybe go to a single Novi 48 and it'd be a real nice freeride boat I'm sure.
