Stock jetting is 1.5 N&S, 115g springs, 70 pilots, 130 mains.
Try 95g springs, 75 pilots, 140 mains. That's likely too rich, but a good starting point.
Sorry Matt, my mistake the Pipe is a wet pipe. Would that make any difference to the jetting spec?
I think the guy that fitted it for me might have put 135 or 140 in the mains. I dont think he changed the springs of the lows from stock.
Ill find out tomorrow whats in there already.
The skis been missing a cylinder on and off for nearly 6 months....some days it would run great and others it wouldnt rev out at all.
I fitted a new coil on saturday and the sky ran great all day...then on sunday it went good for the first hour and then started to missfire and not rev out properly......i was doing a few fountains and it went pear shaped after that.
There was some water in the fuel filter...i drained the tank tonight and im gona check out the carbs tomorrow.
Just trying eliminate one thing at a time.
.
Any ideas as to what my problem could be.
Drained and cleaned the fuel tank, filter and fuel lines for any sign of water,
took to the beach on friday and it would only rev at ver low revs....when ur riding it and u gun the throttle is misses like crazey.....it sounds like an electrical fault........im gona take off the flywheel cover and see if there is any water getting in there....also clean up the earth wires....and swap over my bros electrical box to check if its my cdi thats the problem....iv also checked the plugs of any signs of water maybe leaking from the head but there always dry.
Have you guys any other ideas that i could try?????
This had been going on for months now and im loosing valuable skiing time at the weekends....every week i think i might have it sorted only to find out when i get to the water that its still not reving out with out missing.
Check all the connections in the electrical box . . . . clean with contact cleaner and then use dielectric grease on all when you reconnect.
Sounds like you may have a bad connection somewhere in there that you may have bumped when you swapped the coil . . . . . made it run o.k. for a while then went back to it's intermittant connection. . . . . .
