SJ squared + Basement madness= Something freaky

Whatsupp!! SO SlowJet and I have been doing some building, switching motors, building motors, buying old sit downs the usual winter fiasco. I am posting build because Im tired of waiting on him to do it. He is like a mad scientist right now and has a one track mind. Im just going to start posting all the pictures because I dont like making a big story and all that! Im not building much on the square, just building a motor and such. The freak is a little farther along than the picture. I will let him post everything he is doing to it. Try to get more pics soon. Enjoy!

The hull is a -2 Superfreak Badass with a carbon hood. When i bought the freak from fast elements it had all those green Fast elements logos all over it and my original plan was to remove all those stickers, remove the turf, have it painted, rebuild it for the spring time. But after every one of my friends decided i should build it for daytona, here we are. The hull is in great shape after i peeled off all the stickers and spent three days with 1000 grit sandpaper wet sanding it to remove most of the belmishes, then went back over it with 1500, then 2000, then last with 2500 and then hit it with a high spped buffer. Beside the stress cracks in the gel, i found not one structural crack or anyhting. So the new plan is to ride the ski as it is this summer since the turf is still in pretty good shape, and the paint didnt turn out bad at all, then re build and repaint next summer. Im still waiting for my xmetal pole setup, and my internal fill to come in, i have everything else thanks to my trusty old square!

After getting a box of parts from Jetmanic that my square couldnt donate i started my build. So far i have the pump in and aligned, thrust trim all set up, midshaft in, motor mounts in, bilge glued down, and not im working on the ride plate fitment. My plans for today is the have the pump area complete and sealed up, and have the two big breather holes filled up where the original owner had a rrp pole set up on it, and maybe have the motor in and aligned. I will get some pictures along the way and post them as well! If my other parts come in today or tomorrow, Prosouth, x2ufoolz, and myself are going to pull a few late nights this weekend and get her finished up and then go out for a test ride in the chilly GA lakes before making the trip to daytona motosurf!

Got alot done today. Got all the pump done, ride plate on, intake grate on, trim tightened up, water lines on. Also got the motor in, ebox mounted, headpipe on, water lines attatched to the engine, and all other brackets for holding straps. The ride plate was rubbing my reduction nozzle so i had to grind the bulge off of the ride plate and also file some of the reduction nozzle. Worx intake grate bolted right up, and had to open one hole up on the ride plate, nothing major. Also got a tracking number for my pole and fuel fill, which just got emailed to me today so im assuming they just shipped today. My plan was to finish this this weekend, but i dont think the parts are gonna make it. Here is some pictures of the progress....

Tracking number shows the pole kit here Monday, and the internal fill Wednesday.... So the ole freaknasty is gonna have to wait til next weekend to be complete. Nothing like waiting until the last minute!

Wholly no gap couplers Batman. Your motor is going to smash the poop out of your midshaft the first jump you take.

Hope that is not a final pic in post three last pic.

If you can see I was using that as motor alignment. I posted that pic to show how good everything aligned. Yes, I moved the motor forward, installed my rubber dampener, and nestled the motor safely in its mounts.

Got alot of work done on the ski yesterday. Got all the billge complete, pisser outlets installed, bilge outlet, primer, exhaust done (with the exception of a clamp on the big exit hose), filled the to big rrp with thickened epoxy and just slapped some black touch up paint on it, glued black turf down anywhere anything would rub on the inside like tank, waterbox, pipe, also glued down any turf that was peeling or what not. I also ordered a 90 degree bend for the pipe to waterbox because the 45 i also used kinked alot, this seems to fit a little better and instead of having to kink the 45 some you just open the 90 very little. Alot more free flowing than a kinked 45 IMO. So now all i lack is the pole setup and installing the tank. Knock on wood, shouldnt be any issues having it completed for that daytona freeride thing...
