SJ squared + Basement madness= Something freaky

Water tested this weekend, motor did perfect and is ready to rip. But after a fairly short ride and a few minutes of bobbing in the water the tray was taking on ALOT of water. Must have been more than a gallon, maybe almost two. So after getting home and pressurizing the tray and testing with soapy water, found my two leaks. One at the exhaust exit, one at the exhaust pipe in the hull. Fixing that tonight then heading out Wednesday morning for Daytona!!

Took a step back. After the ski sat on the trialer in the rain, I move it inside and I had water in the damn tray!!!!! Pulled up all the turf and padding on the bottom and the entire left foot hold had seperated from the hull!! Holy water intrusion batman. A quick run to the ole homeo depot for some 3m quick cure marine epoxy and I got it resealed with rivets and epoxy. Has the heater and fan on it overnight and regluing down the turf tomorrow.

Got the freak motor torn down today getting ready for some more power! Gonna have the cylinder bored to 83mm, Freeride port by Paul, 33cc domes, match the exhaust manifold, work on the head pipe some, swap to a wet jet reed stuffer intake, carbon reeds, 46mm carb, and a hooker 10/16. Should notice a change!! :) pics of teardown coming!
