i did....stuff a rag under the butterfly...leave a magnet sitting on the butterfly itself..it will catch the little screws....pull the screws...

this is my fourth carb done like that without any issues.

I've found the stock squarenoses retain a lot of water in the waterbox, as all the pipe cooling water makes it's way out there. Put in a T like SFL said, and run a pisser overboard like the later 701's.

Pontoons! I have a set. They are great. My girlfriend or I can ride the X2 like a regular sit down. I can take my X2 to the river that's idle speed only. They kill the handling of the ski, but they only take 4 bolts to put on, so they are quick and easy for the right purpose. I really like them because it makes my X2 more versitile. I only have the back 2 pieces though. I wish I had the complete set of 3.
