Sj tank?

Thanks for the pics, @PAUL C . What did you use for the black rubber tube and how did you mount it to the stock plastic tube?

The tube was off of a waverunner I parted out. I can't remember what model it was. The tube slid right inside the plastic tube and I rivited it to the plastic tubes as shown in the pictures and cut it to the length I needed.

Thanks for the reply. I have a VXR that I parted out, and I have the rubber tubes I can take off it. Just the one tube needed to be trimmed and other than that it cleared the SJ tank just fine? I'm on the fence about this mod, but I do have a SJ tank ready to go if I do decide to do it.

The lake we ride has 105 miles of shoreline so we usually go for 2 tanks a ride so I wanted as much ride time as I could get between fills. It doesn't seem to have any effect on how it rides or handles compared to the fx tank . Just the one tube needed modification to slide past the b pipe.

Ah I see. Looks like only one side needs to be cut and extended. Very helpful. I'll probrably go this route. Until I run new flexible tubes. Currently brainstorming on how I'm going to mount and stabilize my tank. Going to glass in strap hooks in sj location, as well as glue down an sj rubber kicker. Thanks.
