Freestyle Skat-Trak Swirl or Impros Hooker

Just bought freestyle sj and looking for a little advice on which impeller to get. Looking for more bottom end, and ski currently seems to have tons power in the mid-range, but doesnt have the pull on bottom end pop I am looking for. Think its a Solas on there currently on there but haven't pulled off yet and don't know the model or pitch. I ride on Lake Ontario and we have a mix if flatwater, and chop, depending on day.

Engine Mods:
Factory B Pipe
MSD
ADA Heads (pump gas)
Reed/reed spacers
dual 46mm Mikuni Carbs
Ported and Polished by Paul Lehr (JR Magoo's)
Wiseco Pistons

Might be forgetting a few things, but it is built for freestyle but doesnt seem to have that bottom end pop. Going to try new impeller first but not sure whats the best impeller for bottom end. Any one ever compare a hooker to a swirl.

Yes a few people have compared swirls to hookers and the reviews I've read basically said they are very similar and hard to tell the difference between them. So if you can find one for a good deal, go with that one. Pitches are totally different though. 9/15 hooker is comparable to a 13/18 (I think).

i have a solas 14.5/18 and ordered my 9/15 hooker yesterday from impros and am counting down the days till it shows up. hope that will make the difference that iv been looking for.

Thanks, think I will order a hooker, now not sure whether to get a 9/15 or 10/16 but I will ask Impros what they think. Everyone seems to love Hookers

i have a ski in my garage with 10/16 and when i get my 9/15 for my ski hopefully tommorow il post the difference. if i can tell. does anybody know if there will be a fifference or not?

I run a 10/16 in my fx1 with a sj pump conversion and it's stupid how hard it pulls bottem to top. I have a 13/19 in my mag pump on the rev and it also has stupid amounts of lowend. Call an talk to Dave at impros.

Bringing back a old thread. How do you tell the difference between the two? I have what I was told is a 13/18 hooker, but I am wondering if it is a skat.
I have been running it in my non-pv 838 and been wanting to try a lower pitched prop, but I am unsure on what I am running.
