Ski dies on hard side landings

Having an issue where my ski dies when landing hard on the side, particularly on the left side. My ski stays very dry so it is not water intrusion. Thinking it’s an electrical problem. My stator is cut and soldered so thinking it could be that. Motor is freshly rebuilt as well as carb (61X single carb). It also had this issue before rebuild. Using all used 61x elecs. Anyone else experienced this? Any advice on diagnosis?

I did not but I ran this carb setup using different elecs and didn’t have this issue. Seems to only happen when using this ebox/stator setup

My Helium dies on hard landings and I have a total loss with shifty Mod... is there a correlation there? Dies out instantly just like the tether is pulled but will fire right back up before I sink out if I hit the starter soon enough

For wiw you might try a higher idle speed. Mine, if I set idle to what you'd think is normal, it will die right after I blip the throttle to hit my set up wake. Intermitantly, restarts instantly, happened maybe once a day or so.
Raising the idle speed allowed the engine to continue to run even with the increase load of water in pump with nearly no speed. Hasn't done it since.,

Thanks, I know what your talking about and that makes sense but this definitely isn’t that, it’s only on hard pancake flat landings. The kind of landings that make my lower back and ankles want to shut down right along with my engine. Ski will never die any other time
