Anything has to be better than that Smith Lake.:banghead: Who thought of that one.:biggrin:

Nah it was fun Gil. That shoreline was pretty rough though.

I would not mind checking out Pickwick. Where exactly at Pickwick are youse guys talking about riding?? Is there a spot that has some cruiser traffic so we could catch some decent waves. Our cruiser traffic is slim here in Mid TN. With the promise of some waves I could prolly talk the rest of the slacker TN crew into coming down. Lets get a spring ride together..:arms:

Cruiser traffic is just as predictable as anywhere(except lanier). Some days tons. Some days none. Usual barge traffic going west put out nice jump sets and is fun to ride. You wont find a consistant cruiser traffic in cold weather up no matter where you are.

Reguardless,,,, great place to ride

Gill is "special".
Ok, aside from that, I think a spring ride at/near Pickwick (Pickwick, Tennessee-not McFarland would be cool. Not knocking McFarland but the likelihood of cruisers is greater between the Tenn-tom waterway and Pickwick dam than at McF.

Hmm I'm a complete n00b to all this, (learned my small knowlage of it from jesse), It'd be cool to see it at McFarland, if my parents would let me i could bring our boat out (17ft? runabout)

hoping to get a jetski.. one day

McFarland is OK but there is no where to go. Shoals Creek would be a better choice. IMO

I dont....Shoals Creek SOMETIMES has cruiser but usually traffic doesnt start until Mayish. Then theres no beach and water can get chop as hell. Or on the other hand it could ahve 896966 cruisers but i dout it in early year.

HOWEVER...I do know a guy with a big cruiser that makes very good wake that is dying to let us jump it.

Yes, but who drove? Riding shotgun with Brit doesn't count.:haha: :haha:

Only rode with brit to Daytona

Shoal creek is normally packed in the summer, i don't know of any beaches though.

There is a small beach by Lock 6 ramp on wilson, sorta long walk from the parking lot though

Pickwick is a big body of water. It has all that beaches, ramps, cruisers.

Problem with Mc Farland's "Beach" it is at a mouth of a busy ramp and marina with lots of boaters that I'm sure are jetskier's are closet jetski enthusiast.

Hint: when they wave one finger at you, that doesn't mean you're number one.

Ok Brit drove once, so you make Morgan drive the other times?

Never had a problem with the boater at my beach. Infact our marine police lets me jump his wake and is always extra cool.

ATL - 3x* morgan drove once, and once with brit to daytona....

I drove to PCB....in a Wrangler! I earned my rights...damnit a wrangler!!!!!

I drive from Auburn to Clearwater, FL and back about 4 times a year. That's about 9 hours in a Wrangler each way. Come on it's not that bad.

5 speed no cruise control here:frown:

5 speed with cruise control here, but when I'm towing my ski I don't like to keep it at one speed anyways I like to vary my speed and take it easy going up hills.

What do you usually cruise at towing your ski with your wrangler on the interstate?

I usually run about 65 and occasionally run it at 70.

When on calm parts of I65 or I20 I'll run 75 to 80
