Edit...it fits, Matrix hauler maiden was yesterday. Three ratchet straps to the unibody kept it unmoving. I unloaded it by myself with little effort and two people could load it back in on the ramp.

There have been a few times where I can't use the truck or trailer, I've been interested in trying to fit my Krash inside of my Toyota Matrix. I bought a hitch for it, but have no place to store the smaller trailer I'd need to pull. It is a manual, but still I think the big trailer would be too much, not a whole lot of go out of a 1.8l lol.

We measured it a while back to see if a Proforce would fit with the front seat down and it would barely, so the Krash would width and length...only thing with the Krash is it is pretty tall.

Anyone have setups inside minivans or hatchbacks? If the vertical measurements work I'm thinking of building bunks out of 2x4s and PVC with straps around the laid down middle seat. Open to better ideas if anyone has any or has done something similar.

There was a guy at the Daytona freeride a few years back that had a Footrocket (or Rickter?) in a Prius, I think he had to take the hood off to get the pole low enough.

Whats the max tongue weight on the hitch? you could use a hitch hauler.

No way!

lol let me rephrase that... Why not a hitch hauler, they make them extra long to clear a jeeps spare tire and It might clear a rear hatch too lol

A hitch hauler on the back of my Cherokee with an ad-a-leaf lift sagged HARD with a ski on the hauler, a car (any car) would be dumped once you put a ski on, especially if you have an extended hitch hauler. Not to mention most cars can't even hold a hitch that's rated for it.

Years ago used to do the same thing in an explorer. The trick is to take a single "1 wood dowell,
To act as a roller to aid in pushing it in. Once in, the back will drop onto the floor so it doesn't slide around. Worked pretty good! Only down side is all he crap you get in the car!

Nah won't happen, it is only rated for 250lbs. I don't really want my $16k ski hanging off the back of my $3k car anyway lol.

As far as mess I don't care too much, it has become a shyt box since a coke can exploded all over the seats and headliner and the sunroof leaks water into the headliner and onto the seats...sigh. I think the car is low enough that I can back up to a stand on the boat ramp and just dump it onto that. Securing it is another issue though.

some years ago I sold a SN SJ to some lady for her son. they lived a few hours away and she came by in some new mini hatchback rental car. I forced the passenger headrest off , put the seats down, shoved it in to the dash and barely closed the hatch. I wish I would have got a pic. the whole inside of the car was ski except the drivers seat. I think I had to take the hood off to keep the pole low enough to clear. your car looks like it has a lot more room than I was working with and your ski is shorter. stuff it in there and see if it fits

I see you do the same thing I do... Have plans to sell some parts so I get a load of Priority boxes from USPS. Then they end up being free* disposable work space protectors, lol
I get a bunch for when I do shirt runs or like you said, sell parts. Although I ended up keeping them in the car because they made a great block for keeping the sub box from flying around the cargo area when I turned left. Simple, free solution hah.

I used to stick two 550's inside a Ford Escape and two more top lol. She rode like a Cadillac with four skis and two people but it worked.

Find yourself a soccer mom wagon. I have a 2000 Toyota Sienna with dark tint so nobody can see in. I always have the rear seats removed. I also did helper air bags in the rear so it doesn't squat so much.

It holds 2 skis inside and will do 2 gas cans and a beach cart on the hitch hauler. Loaded down I still get 24 mpg.

And if you air down to 10psi she will cruise all over the Pismo beach sand dunes.

Not the most attractive vehicle I've ever bought, but probably some of the best money I've spent. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Eh I have no more room for vehicles and would just use the truck for hauling more skis. But I'd love to have a cargo van, that would be awesome.

I have to get the ski inspected by a game warden on a work day and I'd only have access to my car. Plus having the ski in the car would be great for those after-work rides without having to tug a trailer around.

I carried my 650sx inside of my S-10 blazer a few times. Only problem I ever had is I bent the actuator for the rear hatch when I closed it up and couldn't get the ski out for a few days. It took some time to figure out how to access the latch w/o breaking anything. There's a picture in the jet ski album on my facebook.

This ^^^!! I once saw @SomeDonnieDude stuff a round nose in the back of a grand Cherokee and I'm pretty sure the nose was touching the dash.

Wasn't even a grand, just a regular old Cherokee haha. Man that only the first. I hauled a waveraider 3 hours hanging out the back of that same Jeep! And a couple other SJ's, and a b1.

Last fall I took another Jeep 10+ hours away to southerfried freeride with my RN riding shotgun. Even got the all the doors and hatch to shut ;)

I have hauled a 550sx, my FX-1, and a few X-2's in my 2 door Cherokee Sport numerous times. Nice not having to tow the trailer. I recently just took the passenger seat out and it makes the job even easier, lol!
