Ski not getting fuel

Ski has run perfect over the years, used it last winter, had it sit two months this spring, notice my primer kit was off in a couple pieces and the pump was bad on it

Had a new primer kit installed today, and was told to prime it in the water? tried for 2 hours and nothing, tried out of water noting also

I see gas at the top of the primer kit (clear round peice) but no gas is going through the primer tubes.

I shoot Starter fluid down the carb hoping that would help get gas flowing but still nothing. It starts and runs for one sec then dies (obviously only running on the starter fluid) Carb is good, just somewhere is not getting gas or im not properly getting the primer kit broken in the right way?

any help is appreciated

Don't use starter fluid. It doesn't contain oil. Use premix fuel instead. Works much better.

Make sure your fuel filters, ext and int are clean, your fuel lines are clear (including in-tank pickup tubes).

Check the pulse line into the carb for leaks or anything suspicious.
Check the pump diaphragm in the carb.

Pull the fuel supply line off the carb, put your finger on the fitting and crank the engine - you should get suction on your finger.

im having this problem right now and need help. ski starts and then two seconds later it just goes dead. All lines are fine, carbs redone three rides ago but snapped the positive battery cable last time right next to the connection at the battery. spliced it and crimped it well but....

can a bad positive battery cable be the problem?

I am not too good at this stuff.
