Ski on back of my boat

I built a carrier to haul my ski on back of my Tsunami when it breaks down or when we are just out cruising. Makes a bigger wave for surfing also! Ski is secure even at 60+ mph. I hate going on the lake without my ski!

NICE! I have literally been planning to do the same thing. I love boating, but can't be away from my ski while on the lake. I've got some ideas on how I would do it, but would love to see details on your setup! Pics? How do you get it on and off there?

No rack for the back of the Lambo silly,...? I have lots of cars, and skis.
The back of the tote lowers down and I just pull it up with a rope. It is made of green treat 2x4s, lag screws, turf, and outdoor carpet. It locks over the lower tow bar on the back of my boat, and I hold the ski down with straps. The Tsunami makes Really big waves and I bought it for my ski! The name of my boat is "Ski Tote"

ive been wanting to mod the swim deck on my centurion to carry my ski sideways when cruising the lake but not sure how good of an idea it is quite yet...

I had my old SJ sideways on the swim platform on my old Tige, it made great ballast for surfing. The last time it was there the ass end was out a bit to far and it forced water in the exhaust filling the motor with some water. I broke the reeds when I tried to start it... Wrecked my day!

Maybe I'll get it all the way around NEXT time....

I've been considering boats with the old school teak swim platform just for this purpose - put the ski on back and head out to the backside of the lake for some good wake sessions.

Most of the fiberglass ones have the sides of the boat kind of blend down to the back, making the platform relatively small, or the platform is higher off the water. The old ski boats had that wood platform right at water level - easy loading. I'll have to look closer at some of the new boats and see what is out there, most of the older ski boats are kind of clapped out.

Reading it, I could not figure out what was magical about teak. Now I understand. More about layout.

I have an older Nautique with the teak platform that I will setup to carry or tow a standup behind this spring. I think I am going to turf the whole platform and setup hooks and/or bunks for the ski. Seems like a shame to turf teak but that will be easiest on the ski.

I'd love to see how that works out after a season of riding / boating.
