Other Ski Setup Technical Database

High Speed Industries

Your one stop shop for quality parts @highspeedind
Maybe add an entry for the adjustment screws? That might help people with tuning.
I also suggest a needle/seat and a pop off spring section. Those are kinda as important as the jets that you are running.
You could also add an entry for the fuel pump setup, some people run different setups. Single pulse line, dual pulse line, or even an external fuel pump like I do.
Just my .02
Maybe even some different sections for different platforms such as kawasaki 550,650,750,800 and yamaha 61x and 62t
I actually think the yamaha cases would be a good idea. Many people run a 61x.
Overall awesome idea and I hope it does well!
Ill add more entries when I can!

Decided to add an optional google maps location tool. I don't think it's really needed, but I did some research on how to do it and it seems kinda neat. When you make a submission, there will be a lat/long field as well. Put in your lat/long for your favorite riding spot or in the general vicinity of where you live. So my current to do list: Google Map, Needle&Seat$spring, screw turns. Entertaining idea of case/cyl type. This google maps thing really caught my eye. I'ma stay up a bit longer.

Nice! Just figured it out and tested it :^). So how the map will work, when you submit an entry, you put your lat/long. This isn't used during a normal search. But when you do a search to generate a map, It'll be queried to put a marker on a google map for all entries that match your search. Each marker will include the X Username of the entry, the hull type, engine type/size, and favorite Ice Cream. I want to keep the amount of data displayed in the map small. I figured Username, Hull, and Engine type/size would suffice. If you find someone close you've never met, PM them on the X. Hmmm, that was fun :^). I will include this with my next update that will probably include a lot of other things.

Huck, can you think of any other pitches I don't have that you know people run? I'll add it next go around. I've just added needle and seat, spring, low speed turns, high speed turns, and a mapping feature. The map feature is implemented, but relatively blank of course. I put your location as miller Huck. And I rounded to a whole number for me just to make sure it maps correctly. That was a fun coding session. I've entertained the idea of adding the web pages under the X forum space so users are required to authenticate against something to access the page. I think it'd be a pain to :):):):) with and I don't think whoever ultimately owns the X would want it. Matt-E? Dunno. Nice idea though.

Primarily focused on useability right now. I think it could possibly grow big enough to be useful. Depends on how much initial info I can get into the system. Throw your numbers in!

Current to do list:
- Add more props (Anyone post other common props I don't have?)
- Add trims (Low on the list since it's not a performance factor)
- Add a notes section for entries so you can put in custom tweaks or additional info for your setup.
- General security (Add a bot check for submissions and eliminate some vulnerabilites)
- Change the structure of the page for easier coding changes.
- Add a way for users to change/delete their submitted info (Would require users to remember a password they set during submission and their setup ID number)
- Add option for submission to be e-mailed when I add your submission to the public database (Actually may make this mandatory so I can make it e-mail your password and entry ID for archive purposes)
- May go through random threads and find setups posted in the past (Would take some time, not sure if I'll do this)

I have changed the structure from 3 separate pages down to one page. Now I only have to update one page. I've tested a way for users to edit/delete their entries. It requires users to submit a password at the time they add their setup. They will then get an entry number assigned to them. They can then edit their entry with those two variables. They receive their entry number via e-mail, and their password as well, along with the details of their setup. Your e-mail is not stored in the database in any way so this is a one time thing. I will soon also implement a way for users to activate their own setups by putting in their Entry ID and password. Yay for automation! Damn I need to go to bed. I have not made these changes live yet.

Just some suggestions

be able to put in different screw settings for front and rear carbs
add OEM SJ specs for easy reference.
add comments section to add info about special stuff like water injection, cooling set up
add reeds and stuffers
Add electronics/ignition
Add region/location/altitude (Temps are much higher in FL than NJ, altitudes, etc.) which effects jetting, cooling and dome sizes.
Add N/A (not applicable/not answered) in every category rather than 0

Should add another row at the top above labels so its catagories and sub-catagories (Hull, Engine, Carb/intake, exhuast, driveline)

Current to do list:

- Add more props, Anyone post other common props I don't have?
- Add trims, not a performance factor though, may not add.
- Add front/rear carb tuning and jetting.
- Add a notes section for entries so you can put in custom tweaks or additional info for your setup.
- General security.
- Add a way for users to delete their submitted info. (This will be easy to implement since editing is already done)
- May go through random threads and find setups posted in the past.
- Make user selectable display fields. (Users can select what fields they want to see in the database, the database is getting big as far as the number of fields. Probably cramping your screens
- Add weight (I'd like this to be dry weight without gas, but otherwise RTR)

Let me check the N/A and see how it affects the queries. It might screw some stuff up. Thanks for the suggest.
