ski sunk help

So yesterday in fear of this hurricane my family took my sxr out of water. They didn't know that I had exhaust pipe off due to replacing starter. Therefore they sunk it. This was around 1:00pm. I got home around 11:00pm. I couldn't flip jetski over by myself at this time and ski was on trailer, so I took out the engine and drained it. I then filled the engine with oil so it wouldn't rust over night. What are my next steps? I can't drain oil and start the engine to remove any extra moisture, because I still don't have the new starter. Do I need to rip down the entire engine? Also do you think I caught the problem in time?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Ya, you need to get it running and blow the crap out of it for a good 15-20 min ride, or completely strip it down and clean/blow with compressed air.. carbs too. Sorry to say. :(

So I got it started. I drained the oil. Then filled it with gas. Drained it. Did that again to get any dirt out and excess oil out. Put ski back together with buddies starter. Fired right up and I let it Idol for like 30 min.

We had a competition a while ago with some friends to see who could sink their ski, get it back to shore, fired up, and run a few laps the fastest. These skis are resilient I'm sure you're fine! Most of the skis were 550s and 750s.
