Ski won’t run right need help!

Last year I was out and my ski was running great and all of a sudden in had this low gurgle sound from the exhaust. I thought it was a baffle in my water box. I replaced it and still the same problem, from there I rebuilt my carbs, checked pop off pressure, put new intake gaskets on. I have a girdled head and it’s sealed up, my compression was 195psi in both cylinders. Took it back out same problem. I thought is was my cdi, changed that still the same problem and the replaces my coil and plug wires thinking it was a short in one of the wires and that still did not fix it. On trailer it starts up but has more of the gurgle sound to it and not that good snappy pop. Put it in the water and no rpm, no power and barley limps around. I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET! Thanks

Ugh. Been there. It may sound too simple but could be a fuel flow problem. Might try replacing the in-line fuel filter. If that does not make a difference try replacing the fuel, and then the fuel lines if they aren’t new.
Could also be a leaky exhaust. See if you notice any smell. Sucking the exhaust into the carbs messes the air fuel mix.

I will try changing the filter and lines to see if that make a difference. I have ridden it with the hood off and I still had the same problem, so not sure if it exhaust but won’t hurt to check again. I have read some other articles and think maybe leaky crank seals. Thanks for the info!

wonder if your getting water in the cylinder some how, mine did the same thing last year ended up being crank seals, but would run up top in the water just dead on the bottom end.

That’s what I was starting to think it is. I have ordered new seals and gaskets to reseal everything up. The power is just dead, I can’t even get it up to top end. Hope this problem gets solved soon because this is killing me!

Oem crank seals! I’ve have wsm ones fail in less than 20 minutes could have been from a long shelf life but always easier to do it once instead of twice.
