ski won't start

I've been modding my 2004 superjet for the past few months off and on and it won't start. I have put in a dry pipe, girdled head, new impeller, grate and rejetted my carbs. Yesterday, I tried to start it and it just clicks. I tried jumping it and it won't turn over. I looked over the forums and it seems it could be the e-box, starter or bendix. Anyhoo, this project is wearing me out/ getting old and I was wondering if anyone who lived in the Miami / Miami Beach area is interested in making a few bucks by wrenching on my ski.
Thanks,
Wen

I've never been to Florida, but a google search revealed 'Miami beach jet-ski repair' (786) 521-9536. Don't know if they're any good.

We might be able to help you get it running on your own.
Can you turn the engine with the plugs removed?

Never give up!!! Never surrender!!!

First thing i would check is the starter, my ski was doing the same thing...battery was fine and i knew my e-box was good, so i just took the pipe off to get to the starter and pulled it apart and it was completely fried. Luckily if you want to get by for awhile you can get them used pretty cheap. But check that first.

The ski won't turn with the plugs out. The dry pipe was such a PITA to put in, I am hesitant to remove that first. Maybe I'll try that phone number or the phone book.
Thanks
Wen

whelp.. you said it right there... i've had to replace my starter... sux to have to take the whole exhaust off ....pulled my motor too i think (jus a lil with out unhooking everything) anyway .... when u say " you tried to jump it" did u just hook that to the battery?

one thing you could try is ...but u need to pull the elec box .... just short the starter solenoid cant miss it two big wires ....

now i assume you have also checked the kill switch and make sure the lanyard is on etc. could be something there.

The clicking sound you are hearing is probably the solenoid engaging, IMO. You're not going to solve anything until you yank the starter and test it on a battery.

I know, it sucks, but after you do it you hopefully won't have to do it again.

Open the e-box and touch a screwdriver across the 2 bolts on back of the solenoid. If the starter turns over then, you most likely have a faulty solenoid.
