that would make me as nervous as pulling a trailer that far!

haha

Im thinking LOTS of ratchet straps will be required, and Ill tarp it all in, and strap it down. too much dayum camping gear too...

:banghead:

Yikes, hope the tarp dont beat the skis while flapping in wind. Freekin AR. REDNECKS. Hey SHONUF, I say we give Memphis to AR. and increase the IQ average of both states in one transaction?????? What do ya think. :pokey:

You shouldn't have any trouble hauling 2 skis, I have used my Ranger to do the same thing. Put two 2x4s across the wells, and put a 3/4" sheet of plywood over the wells. I had a square and a round in there, fit PERFECTLY, even could close the tailgate. I have also put two squares in a minivan, it is tight but it can be done. Good luck! -Kurt

edit: Also, I have been able to load both skis into my truck by myself, by backing in till the gate hits the water, then riding straight up into the bed!

haha, you havent seen my skis have you?

1200 miles with a flapping tarp might make them shinier!

two skis in the bed without rubbing. if you dont have them up, i think they will rub. plus you can shut the tailgate.

Skis in a six foot bed are no problem. I do it all the time in my Tacoma.
I just rachet strap through the bow and stern eyes to the tie downs in the
bed. The "spider web" just keeps the pole from bouncing.

Probably overkill straping it down, but I DON'T want to lose it.
Same thing should work fine with two side-by-side in a wider bed.

Does anyone have a pic of Pancake Pete's setup? I forget what kind of truck he has (Toyota or Nissan comes to mind), but he has a decent setup that allows him to carry a couple skis in the back.

The tundra has a slightly smaller bed than the nissan and I fit an SXR and an REV in the back side by side no problem with about an inch or so in the middle and 4 ratchet straps. Just throw them in and get the duct tape out and yer good.

This is how Malone did it with his old skis.

Who needs straps......just don't stomp on the gas.

C'mon guys, thats where the duct tape comes in, but I do have to say those two skis of "malones" look kind of ghetto but he is good enough he could ride a donkey and win freestyle. Well maby not a donkey
