I'm in need of a good wetsuit. Something warm, we don't have much selection up here. Any ideas? A surf suit would be ideal, just no good surf shops to go try one on at.

i've used slippery suits for years, since like '98. Before that I had a Mobby's suit, which i really liked.

last year i bought a new Mormaii, cuz i didn't like the Slippery color choices. The Momaii is great, but runs small.

for warmth, given how cold the lake starts off at in the spring, and how cold it gets in the fall, i either wear my dry suit or my wetsuit with a tour coat over it.

I picked up an Oceaner 8MM two piece a few years ago from Scuba2000 at HWY 7/404 - East Beaver Creek area. Its was used but like new from their dive school. Very thick but with lower John only it offers great protection and insulation for our colder waters.

They have lots of new stuff to try on and can order almost anything for you.

Or Costco has the shorties - dirt cheap at $30?

Did you notice all the tops are pullover no zip up even in the reform.

I'm glad the ditch the white combos on the matrix. It was white in all the wrong places for most folks.

I am not impressed with Slippery's quality. My 04 Matrix, used three seasons, is falling apart.

No more pullover vests. The last ones they made sucked because the buckles were in the back and now they stopped making them alltogether. Good thing I found an OLD used one in great shape...

I haven't liked their designs for the last 5 years. They need to hire back the old designer. They used to be the toughest looking suits around. Then they went super-fruity and now they are just plain and boring.

If anyone has an old Matrix suit in great shape they want to sell, let me know (pre 2005)...especially Camo or Black/White, Size Large.

yup, my first Slippery suit from back in the late 90's was the best... it was orange/blue - i'm partial to orange - anyway... it was thicker than the current suits, built in rash guard sleeves, zippers at the ankles... by far the best they ever made.

as for vests - I run a JP side entry vest - i love it.
