Slowing flip rotation

We just got back from riding some surf, and while I have been flipping for over a year now, all I know how to flip is small waves. It's pull as hard as you can, pin it, and look back. Well, now that I'm getting more confident in my riding, my setup sends me to the moon everytime I hit a wave, and I'm starting to get the balls to flip some big waves I have a problem of over rotating and landing on my back or almost unto my head like k was attempting a double. The waves this past weekend were about two to three feet overhead and I couldn't slow my rotation to save my life.... When you are going on bigger waves and getting higher, do I not hit the wave as late so my take off isn't as steep? What's the catch? Of course I'm not using trim, and I put the long ride plate on my ski....

It was the EME q8 he just bought and assembled. Where he hit was about 4 ft deep and we were able to get a rope on it, then used a stand up the get it into the sand bar with about a foot of water. Then some one had a gp 1200 that towed it back to the boat ramp where we were at. We ended up pulling the motor and everything at the ramp to get it running to blow the salt water out of it, then after we got it really hot a few times, we dumped a lot of premix oil in it and spun it over until it looked like a mosquito buzzer drove by.

Either surf stance flip or stop pulling off the face of the wave so much. Drive the ski straight up then give it a yank once you are about to peak out. If you pull too much off the lip there is no stopping your rotation. If you pull at the top of your flip you can pull or push down/forward and stay in a nose dive.

Landing flat and over rotating takes the fun out of flips.

This is kind of what I was thinking... Going up the wave like I was gonna just bomb it and use the peak to start my rotation. Maybe I shouldn't be riding a ninja in 8 footers! HAHA.

I have this over rotating problem also. My heels are both wrecked from flat landing flips all summer. I've never tried em surf stance yet. Need to try soon.

This is on a full length Superjet too......
