FX-1 Slutty FX1 build 2013 / Surf Ski

I rode sj762's FX after he put the 144 pump in with no mods to the inlet tract and will say it hooked up very well and performed most adequate.

Im glad to see you attacking this project, I've always wanted to build an FX1 for surf and actually put enough time on the hull to see if that makes me more happy than a SJ. Small surf days seem like they'd be more fun on an FX. I was actually thinking of making you an offer on the hull since it just sits there

Getting the 144 to bolt into the hull is very little work, getting a 144 pump shoe in is probably the same or less work than the kawi pump. I would definitely go with the 144, mine worked well even with a bored out stock pump shoe, I have yet to ride one that was done right.

Good choice going with 144. When I was into X2s, I could never get a stuffed Kaw 140 to hookup even 70% as good as a stock 144 with just a big hub impeller.

bring that hunk on junk to my house and ill knock it out in two days. i got a car you can paint while im all ashy larry in glass powda. ive ridden 144's with stock tunnels and its stupid! maybe if you weigh 85 lbs and dont plan to leave the water its fine but if you want a legit ripper it needs a whole sj pump tunnel etc. Might as well come up with a really sano rocker kit for FX's while at it Quit internet fagging out and get it done
