Smallest single place trailer?

Im going to be low on storage space soon so I have been thinking of trying to downsize from a couch single place trailer (converted a dual stand up trailer) to a hitch hauler and tiny single place stand up trailer. I found a pic of one I'm trying to mimic, but would obviously want one with some kind of leaf spring. Anyone know of a brand that makes something or a kit I can order from somewhere? I debated on trying to just cut and re-weld mine but if there is a kit I can get I would prefer to just buy that.

I didn't want to throw the other ski in the bed of my truck because I have a Tacoma with one of their one inch beds lol...I don't know if a ski would fit in the bed and clear the other ski that is on a hauler. I guess I could build a rack in my bed that would lift the ski above the ski that is on the hauler but by the time I build that, buy a jetbum ramp to make loading easy, and get a beach cart it seems like it would just be cheaper and less hassel to build a small trailer.

Because I'm a girl. Haha. I dunno man that just seems like a ton of work to go through loading and unloading every outing. The jet bum ramp would definitely help. One of the biggest pains in the ass would be getting them inspected at the lake entrance every day. They would have to crawl in and around the truck to check them out and, knowing these ass holes, would probably scratch the hell out of my truck in the process or would probably fail my inspection just because I made it inconvenient for them. I'm trying to avoid the truck bed option at all costs lol.

@ScottS and I have been talking along these lines as well. They changed the rules at our local launch spot and no longer allow the parking of trailers except in a remote lot just far enough away to be a real PITA. Scott drives a car so he doesn't have the option of tossing his ski in the bed.

He wants to design a highway speed towable trailer that is still light and compact enough to use as a beach cart to launch with and then be left on the beach. I think it's a pretty easy task except for the part mentioned above that it would require a suspension.

We have discussed the trailer pictured in the first post on many occasions, only with a suspension. Leaf springs would add height, weight and width. The smallest torsion axle is far too stiff and bounces two skis near to death so I can only imagine what it would be like with a single ski. I'd be interested to hear how it handles riding on tires alone?

Aquatic niusance species inspections. We have to have our skis looked over top to bottom, inside and out. Any drop of water means the ski is potentially contaminated and if they allow us on the lake that way they are absolutely sure whatever evil microbe that is in that water will kill off everything and turn humans that contact the water into nazis... At least that's how it feels. So ya that inspection would blow with the skis 6' in the air

I wonder if a leaf suspension was disregarded altogether and instead there was some sort of shock absorbers built into the bunks, or if the bunks were made out of a super shock absorb any material... I dunno, just throwin out ideas.

OK, so if you hit the water with some residual water in the hull then basically, Real Live Resident Evil Takes Place. Gotcha............ Will there be 5 or 6 sequals?

Yes. That's exactly how they act. We had one inspector pushing on our turf to try and see if he could squeeze water out.... Wtf. I think it's a scam that the state is doing to get federal money.

I never noticed it before but if you look closely at that picture, the axle tube does not line up with the center of the wheel and you can make out a torsion axle.

Maybe they just found one much lighter than i have been able to find. That trailer is made in the UK so they could have all kinds of different products we have never seen.

I didn't notice that. Good catch. Do you know the brand name. I saw that on a site that gave zero information about it. I would be interested in picking one up and trying it out or modifying it.

What about using 2 MTB rear air shocks for the suspension? Coil Overs may be better!

I found a couple pics of similar trailers that claim to be Haulmark and not Indespension. It even says Haulmark "Premier" on the side of the first one and "Sport" on the second.

Also, Yakima builds small trailers, but they are expensive!

What about buying the smallest harbor freight trailer and sectioning it in the middle? They are cheap!
