Super Jet SN Cracked Pole, What Would You Do?

Hey guys, just cracked my handle yesterday after it crashed down onto my engine cover (hit a sweet jump and couldn't hold on lol). Looking for advice on what to do, whether a repair is possible or just replace it.

I'm leaning towards trying to get a RN pole, but it looks like I'm gonna have some trouble finding one. Also there's RRP poles, but they're pretty spendy.

For a repair, would it work if I grabbed some 1208 and epoxy and reinforced it like that? The edges/contours are what makes me think it might not work. I like the idea of at least repairing it and holding onto it since I like the stock SN look.

Input would be appreciated, TIA.

1) Never let go.
2) Repair might work, but most people end up switching to a RN pole and steering. You’ll need a different pole bracket. Also, depending on the year pole you get, you'll need a bracket/widget from JM to allow using the long-throw steering cable from a SN.

IMHO, dont chance it and try to repair it. It would be a accident waiting to happen. These old SN poles are SMC junk, just be glad it lasted this long. I would find a alum SN pole, or do a RN with bracket as mentioned, and then shorten the pole -2 or whatever you like.

Grab a piece of thin aluminum approx 14 to 16 gauge and your pop rivet gun. Also grab a couple of hammers. Start riveting and beat it into shape as you go. Wrap the whole mess in duct tape and ride until you get a new pole. My brother rode his SN for probably 5 years with that repair. He sold it before he replaced the pole. I think the new owner is still riding it with that repaired pole on it.

FYI only...same happened to me like 25 years ago...I grinded the poop out of it and replaced with carbon fibre layups until I needed to grind back the profile.....never broke there again in 20 years....broke lower down above the pole mount ....did the same there but added some kevlar strips between the carbon.....bullet proof still today. ...when you dont have money then you make a plan
