Super Jet SN holds water under the tray...suggestions?

Well I rebuilt my SN this last winter and defamed/refoamed along with footholds. Apparently somewhere along the line, the fiberglass wasn't flush or sealed all of the way because after about 30 min of riding i can feel the ski being heavier. Also when I stop the Superjet "lean" is about an inch further under water. I have a bilge in the engine bay so thats dry, its just under the tray. I have two drain plugs that always pour water out after riding. If I drill two more holes for versiplugs, will that help? I have peeled back some of the turf to make sure the tray is still intake and it is. Thanks for the help

Have you tried to figure out where it's leaking from? If you have holes in the tray, fill em with water and build up enough pressure to see if you can figure out where it's leaking. Even if you seal up your hull pretty good, there's still a good chance there's some spots that still might not be perfectly sealed..Might be thru hull tubes, rideplate/pump inserts, etc.
Are your drain plugs just the typical plastic ones? Because if so, I'd just screw in versiplugs if you can't fix the leak without cutting up the tray. So if you can't fix the leak and still wanna ride, throw some versiplugs in there..
I ended up completely redoing my tray, defoam, refoam with EPS, etc. Spent quite a bit of time sealing absolutely everything up, but when I drained my ski I would get about 4 gallons of water out..Found out the leak is where the driveshaft tube goes into the bulkhead, so not easy to reach..I bought 2 versiplugs and called it a day. So yeah, get some versiplugs unless you can easily fix the leak.

When I refoamed the tray, the area that the driveshaft came through the tube it seemed moist and spongy. Maybe that's where it's leaking. I have a feeling I could have knicked the thru hull tube for the steering cable. I'm not sure. Part of me wants an easier fix to finish the season so I can start fresh with an AM hull. Yeah my drain plugs are the plastic ones with a good dose of 5200 so it might be a pain to get them off the hull.

These were thru hull plugs. They're all one piece if that makes sense. I unscrew them and they slide out but catch at the end. I'd have to take the whole thing out if I wanted to use the same hole

When your ski comes out of the water, the ball moves and drains. When your standing still in the water, the pressure of the water forces the ball to seal the hole in the plug.

Block off one drain plug and put your air compressor up against the other one. Only Use A Small Amount Of Pressure! Like 2-3lbs. Take your ride plate off and spray around the pump with soapy water. Fix the leaks with 5200. I did this and now my tray is 100% sealed! :)
