Any tips on where to reinforce it for the flatdeck?
and I'm selling my old 650 engine if anyone's interested, still runs great.

ok been a while since ive started the build, pretty busy and working nights so its kinda hard to run powertools at 12 at night without waking the neighbors lol. Anyway i shortened her 4 inches, reinforced the sides near the bulkhead, added a versi plug, got a 701, canadian freestyle nozzel, rn pole, chopped the hood and working on getting the rocker kit on, its still really tight even after making all the cuts to the hull :dunno:. Everything would be moving faster if the previous owner didnt put a thick layer bondo, primer, and 2 layers of paint on it without stripping any of the old gel coat/paint... its like a everlasting gobstopper of poopy

Lol I hate sanding with a passion, whoever thought 30 pounds of bondo was a good idea on a jet ski can die in a fire... While being mauled by a grizzly bear... Naked...

Looking forward to seeing this thing donw. I chopped 4" off mine and it def takes a LOT of getting used to. I went from a stock SN to mine I built with -4", lowered and widened tray, rocker, pole bracket moved to the nose, lowered hood, and now run a short and stiff pole. I have been riding it for a month now and still am not fully used to it. Mainly when hitting boat wakes it is the biggest change. The ski now wants to get thrown vertical off a wake. Sometimes off cruiser wakes I have been thrown upside down. It also gets much harder to to hit wakes because any small wave or choppiness throws me out of wack. Im sure over time it will get better but it is like learning to ride again

Update!! Ski is back together and running like a champ, also found out the motor I bought has an msd ignition, and v force 2 carbon reeds! Nice little bonus. Ill upload some pics tonight. But this thing is the funest ski I've ever ridden, idk if its the 4 inch chop, the rocker kit or the Canadian turn nozzle but you can huck this thing where ever you want lol it's awesome.

Haha maybe more this weekend poopy lighting in the garage
