And just in case you didn't believe the other people saying this. Do not piece one together.
Real quick math:
Bare Hull w/ few acc $200 (and title!!!)
Motor $500-800 (650 to 701)
Pump $150
Handlepole $150 if you can find one
Right now your at a grand.

You still need a e-box, steering, waterbox, exhaust, battery, and the list goes on and on. Probably another $800 worth of crap. And then you'll pray to god that it runs after you've cobbled everything together. The bits and pieces will eat your lunch.

You can get a running Square nose 650 around here (Dallas/Fort Worth) for about $1000-$1200 all day. Sometimes with a trailer.

Use www.searchtempest.com and search for Superjet, super jet etc. You'll find something.

SN for starting off, beat it up and ride it for a while. Then get a A/M hull, thats my plan hopefully for next summer.

Agree with most of the wisdom above. My 2 cents:
I like the lines of the SN hull better than the RN.
The RN pole is a significant improvement, downside is you have to run a limiting rope which IMHO is a pain for lake riding.
701 is mandatory
Footholds are a pain to install but more than worth it, do it as soon as possible.
B-Pipe and cylinder porting highly recommended if you can afford it
