Super Jet SN Superjet tray cracking

Is it a common thing for SN superjet trays to crack right where the gunwhales meet the bottom of the tray. Both My skis and a friends ski, both SN SJ's, have cracked in the same spot. the fiberglass seems maybe 2 mm thick and is super brittle. i know warping is a commin thing but didnt know if cracking in the spot was common as well. any help will be grealy appreciated. it looks as if we are going to have to reinforce the tray real soon.

yea, super thin there for sure, and the foam doesn't support much either. Topdeck is munton under the gelcoat but epoxy will stick when its roughed up, I have reinforced a few trays with biax.

Almost every SN Superjet I've owned or looked at had a cracked tray at one point.

You only have 1 post, so I'll say that your foam is probably waterlogged and weighing down your ski. Time to cut out the tray, refoam and reinforce.

yeah ive been wrenching on the kawis for years and finally came over to the dark side (yamaha) i figured you guys over here on the x are a little more yamaha based than PWCtoday. i think i caught it soon enough and will be able to just fiberglass and reinforce the tray. its a very small crack and i think i caught it quick. epoxy based resin and a few layers of glass should do the trick right??
