SN vs RN water box

Wondering if there's a big difference in performance between the waterboxes and the exhaust outlet. I swapped a bigger motor into my RN, and took the 701 and put it in my SN with a Bpipe and it doesn't hit quite as hard as it did in my roundnose. I have a factory pipe water box in the square nose but the inlet and outlets are the same size as stock. Mostly everything else is the same except my RN has a mag pump, the SN does has a 9/15 hooker in it with stock stator. Would it be worth going through the effort to put a RN waterbox and exhaust outlet in?

When my SN box blew up from a backfire I could only find a aftermarket RN box in time to make a ride. I don't feel any difference in power.

I don't think there has ever been any proof that a single waterbox on the market, be it OEM or AM, adds any performance gains. Is the fiberglass one a crappy design, hell yes. Will you have an arm-ripper if you swap it for any aluminum one? Ahhh….no.

the olny time you will ever notice any difference in power , if you change something downstream from the stinger is,
if the motor needs more or less back pressure than it currently has,
and you change it closer to what it needs,
you will gain power.
PERIOD!
Interested in the back pressure concept- I have an SXR motor in my 650sx hull, running a Superjet limited B-Pipe chamber into a Coffmans 650sx waterbox with stock diameter hoses/outlets. It is a pain to swap out just for R&D but no point in leaving power on the table either. Any thoughts (besides "why on earth did you assemble such a grotesque combination of PWC hardware?")?

that's funny, I know a guy that bought the sxr hull that joeys watercraft and TBM built and was in the 2003 issue of watercraft illustrated.
he put a big pin 750 with the sxr dry pipe and it ripped.
he blew up the 750 and put in a 650 with the sxr dry pipe and it still ripped. lol
the same guy puts 750s in X2s all the time and uses the coffman 650 pipe and they rip.
i remember seeing SXRs on the blowsion website running yamaha motors with B pipes for as much as $45000 lol
HEY, i just sell jetski junk and anything else i can make a killing on. dont ask me for tech tips.
oh wait a minute, didnt you once upon a time bring me a SN SJ handlepole and some other junk? lol
i think that pole is still floating around here someplace.
derek anderson/ wave warriors owner back in the day, had a jeff jacobs replica 550.
i went to his house to possably purchased all his jetski junk and he showed me a kink in the hose between the pipe stinger and the waterbox.
he said if you straightened the kink out , it went slower, so he left the kink. it needed additional backpressure.
thats just like the sxr sleeve or now the superjet sleeve that gets stuffed in the stock pipe exit. it adds power from the additional backpressure.
its easy to add back pressure, just hose clamp a hose down a bit.
to reduce pressure you have to throw waterboxes over your shoulder afterf putting in an eliminator pipe.
i had joey sign it. that mother licoriceer can ride!DSCF1540.JPG
