SN waterbox leaking

Just rebuilt the carb on my 90’ SN and was running it on the hose and saw that the inlet of the waterbox is puking water. It looks like the rivets are loose and whatever joins the inlet pipe and box together is coming apart. Do I just epoxy the sh*t out of it or is there another (not $250) option?

Sand it clean and cover in epoxy. I would use a little glass to make a fillet around the pipe for support.

Repair as described previously and then keep your eye out for a replacement. I like to buy spares as insurance, but always wait for a deal to come my way. My last round nose water box (in perfect condition) was a $10 purchase. Have bought complete start/stop switches for as low as $20, same with Worx ride plates - all in perfect condition.

it seems you can almost never get a deal when something fails and you need it NOW. My only memorable exception was when my Squarenose water box exploded and a dealer fixed me up with a NOS Factory Pipe version for $100!

I've got a sn waterbox if you need it
I cut the rivets out yesterday, used enlarged screws to tighten the neck back to the box and epoxied the piss out of it but I'd like to find a backup for sure. Let me know what you're willing to let yours go for and maybe we can make a deal.

Good looking out. I will start searching for spare parts and hopefully can gain a solid collection to keep me on the water.

Well my repair lasted most of the season but I am in need of a waterbox replacement. Anyone have one on the cheap I can snag from you?
