SX/SXi/SXi Pro snapping pump shafts on 750sx

I've snapped 2 pump shafts on a 93 750sx in the last 3 rides. The only thing I can think of that would cause it is that square rubber seal is torn for the bearing that holds that drive shaft in the bulk head (under the ebox). The rubber seal/boot is no longer connected to the hull and I can slide the bearing and part of the seal back and forth, so there is no support and yes it leaks water in fast! The shaft snapped on the backside of the impeller right where it mounts to the pump itself.

Am I just being too hard on it? or is it due to that rubber seal/boot being torn? are these shafts know for breaking? I have a seal coming in the mail, now I just need to get another shaft, will OEM be fine or are there better aftermarket solutions? Im pretty sure the ski is all stock, with exceptions of impeller but I have no idea on specs. Thanks for any input, much appreciated!!!

Replace the bearing housing for sure. Follow factory proceedure for shaft replacement, too. Any brand pump shaft is fine (WSM SBT OEM). Snapping off the back of the pump shaft makes me think you have overtightened the prop or may also have bad pump bearings.
