Sneds enclosed trailer build

Slept in it last weekend. Worked great!
Picture was taken when I was prepping the night before my trip. Lowered the shelf a bit to maximize sleeping room and still was able to get the Blaster in and out.

I really like them. After using them I wouldn't go back to what I was using before. You need the adapter for them though (not shown in the picture)

A friend of mine has a similar trailer and has driven with one ski up top. I'm not sure about 2. I believe the specs on the track can handle the weight but I'd be more concerned about how the elevated weight would effect the trailer structure.

I picked up an all aluminum Neo 6x12 v-nose trailer this past spring. I've been using it all summer and I'm really happy with it. I got a lot of ideas from other trailer threads on here so, I thought I'd post my build and maybe it would spark some ideas for someone else. My goal with this build was to keep everything light (use as much aluminum as possible), and versatile. The primary purpose was to haul skis but, I also want to use the trailer for other things such as hauling dirt bikes to the track and camping. With this in mind, everything had to be removable.

I ordered the trailer with upgraded rims and tires, dual roof vents, flow-thru venting and a sliding window. This is how it looked when I picked it up.

I started my build with flooring. I cut to size and glued down a mat designed for a garage floor. I felt this would handle the abuse.

are you happy with the single axle? I also am planning on getting a 6x12 in the spring and the single axles are a little cheaper figured id get your opinion. Also, love the idea with the shelf over the skis. My plan was fold down beds but if i could make a "bunk bed" type deal similar to your shelf for weekend freerides that would be way better.

Ya, I'm really happy with my setup. I can put a queen mattress above the skis and I can also remove the skis and place another mattress below when we go camping. It's been a great trailer so far. I have no regrets buying a single axle but the second axle would have been nice to have.

Check out my trailer build as well. Similar setup but with wooded shelfing etc. http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/stealth-enclosed-build.160360/

Gotcha, talked to a co worker today and he made a good point about double axle rhat if im far away from home and hit a pot hole and a hub broke or get a flat tire whatever it may be he said you can at least limp it off the highway, but wel see when the time comes. Great set up guy thanks for posting

@sneds I did end up buying a steel 2016 6x12 Vnose with 7' height and barn doors. Hoping to play with layout this weekend and start ordering stuff in.

Sparkplug dispenser
VP Rack
New Jack
Window
Insulated Ceiling
12v light
12v fan
12v switch
12v exterior lights
E track
Helmet rack

That is the current wish list. Let me know what else you'd recommend

@Ehlett as I was bugging you both this week. Once I make some progress I'll start a build thread on here to relieve the good ole days. And for you to laugh at my inevitable mistakes.

Yes, I just use the beach cart to unload the trailer and get the skis to the water.
