The real problem is trying to incorporate the water cooled exhaust to the snowmobile cylinder's. We are just playing with some part's that Brent has at the shop. I would send EME an e-mail and ask them about big boring an octane motor they are the master's on the polaris watercraft motor's and have already done it.

You cant bore a VES8 cylinder very far, maybe 87mm. To go to 90 or 91mm (910 kits), you have to go with an aftermarket cylinder. Theres only a couple cylinder manufacturers on the market, most use cast Crankshop cylinders.

If youre serious, call Carls in Boise. Jack (the owner) does most of R&D for Polaris. His 910 kit (or 935 if you can beg him for one of the last two cranks for that) absolutely rocks and was used by Malone for a while.

I am working on putting a 910cc top end on my Octane bottom end. Just starting to figure out what is required. I have a Polaris VES top end that uses 88.85mm Weiscos. I am using that along with a SLP billet head. All was removed from a big bore sled. I will post more info as I go along with the build.

Yeah, I am not too sure how this top end is going to work in a watercraft application. Mostly due to the port heights and triple exhaust port being designed for a snowmobile, not a ski. Although, I have ridden a octane with sled non-VES cylinders and the thing ripped.

let us know how that turns out,I have a good source for some sick polaris motors from sleds, how much more heavy are they than the 701 yami platforms?seems like all the bedplate conver to yami are gettin easy to come by as well as aftermarket hulls set up for polaris motors

Sled top end Possible???

I have mocked up the two different cylinders on my Octane bottom. On the right, 88.85mm Polaris snowmoible big bore. On the left, stock octane, .5mm over. The obvious difference is the exhaust exit area. Not sure the best way to route the cooling water. The sled engine uses the crankcase rather than the exhaust port area. The angles where the manifold bolts up are also a little different. The octane ports are tiny in comparison to the sled.

Bottom end differences seem minimal. Looks like the sled case could be used, but some machining would be required. I noticed that the EME boats use the Sled bottom end, not sure if that is the way to go or not.
