LOL! I wanna know how Greck Brock got to be Pro anyways? I know hes been around awhile. Maybe it was back in the day he was able to go Pro and now its just plain lame. Like was said, the worst AM could of done better.

I dont know them personally and I dont promote them. My avatar is purely just for fun, because I LMAO the first time I saw the pic on their new video at Walts(our local dealership).

I never seen that WF vid, but was there in person and was sitting next to some guys that knew them and were filming it. When he lands that roll perfectly upside down, thats me saying "thats gotta hurt".

Now Gary Burtka is worthy of being pro. He worked his way through the Amateurs.
I met them both last year and they are both really easy going, talkable, likable peeps.

I do have to give Brock props for still doing it at his age, but at some point you have to be honest and look in the mirror and say you're not at that level.

I agree, now its like a fantasy or something..lol

I am not defending their performance or skill but... It is easy to sit on the sidelines and say they suck. The thing that sucks is that they are 8 and 10 at WF because no other freestylers came. I think there were only 10. I bet there are more than 10 freestylers in Lake Havasu City. None bother to compete. There were classes at Nationals with less than ten competetors. So show up and you are top ten. What is that worth? This thread should be about all the riders who claim to be better yet don't have the guts to put thier money where their mouth is. Team twangled is PRO and they are top ten at WF. This is a fact. Go ahead and bring your smack talkin' friends to Havasu and run the twanglers out of town with your sweet jumps (LOL) -- For the record, I do not know either of these two guys.

Well said!! We need more people to compete, and should be asking ourselves what's wrong with the competition format that means that so few people do it....

I don't think anyone would knock Brock if he were riding amateur, but at some point you have to ask what it means to be pro. I don't know the rules, but is there any official difference apart from what kind of ski you can ride? If not, then it comes down to skill level, and in that case that video was not a pro ride, pure and simple.

No he will not!
And what does all this say for me? I got 11th place last year, it's official and in the record books :crutches: In 30 years when some kid looks at the 2007 results and sees Parr as dead last, then they see this youtube video, what will they think I must have done???

That is where redemption comes into play.

His rolls are better than mine(I don't roll), but that double up jump/backflip attempt was horrendous. I have gotten a lot higher off much smaller stuff. With a LW hull, he should have really skyed it.

Love you bro!

Well bro, you bet wrong.. There are no freestylers here, except for me. Its all racers here and that is fact.

I'm an old racer from the early 90's and also I've competed a total of 17 times in freestyle in 00', 01' , and 02' and won 2 regional Amateur Championships and got 2 invitations to the World Finals.

I'm 45 years old now and I know for a fact I could blow that silly so called routine out of the water... I'm not trying to brag here, its just that Greg Brock should not be in the Pro class. Thats what I'm talking about. Now, like I said before, Gary Burtka does belong in the Pro class and that is "fact".

This thread should be about all the riders who claim to be better yet don't have the guts to put thier money where their mouth is.

Well you hit a good note with the word "money".
There are a lot of good freestyle riders that dont have the time and especially the money it takes to travel to the regional events. There are riders from the east coast that qualify and dont have the means to make it all the way to Havasu for the WFinals. There are riders from out west here in Cali that qualify for the Nationals and cant make it to Nashville. So, the saga of "As the impeller turns, these are the days of our lives" continues...

Go ahead and bring your smack talkin' friends to Havasu and run the twanglers out of town with your sweet jumps (LOL)

I'm here... The one lonely old man freestyler in Lake Havasu City, and I can do a lot more than "sweet jumps"... lol.

I dont want to run anybody out of town. In fact I would hang out with them and ride and socialize and try to get them to move here, so I would not be the only freestyler in Lake Havasu.. TBH- I cant believe there are not more freestylers that live here.

Let me know when you would like to come to LHC, weather is nice most all year round to ride.

That why I wont be racing or freestyling at Havasu... I have qualified every year since 2000 (my first year racing, only raced 2 times). I do not have the money.

So what's your excuse? :slap: You've got enough skillz if you would only take the time to package them into a 2 minute run....
