Always buy more motor then you can use. Its never a bad thing.

I vote phantom. I own a hurricane and the quality is sub par.

Phantoms ride easier, pop better and are more fun.

But it all depends if you want a surf ski or a flat water ski.

Let me ask this...what are the main differences when a ski is built for surf or flat? Pump tunnel? Width? Pole position?

Surf skis generally are much heavier because they are built to take the abuse. Also they tend to be a bit longer then flat water skis

I own a rokr and its a fun ski, but I wish I would have done my research. Stubby hulls are good for one thing... Flips, lol. I'm now wanting something a little more stable at higher speeds, but will still flip off a boat wake.

They are great all around skis I ride one no complaints
