Other So what does it take to flip a RN superjet

Location

So I was reading a post yesterday that someone said you wont back flip a superjet unless
you have big power and shortin the hull etc...
just wondering what is big enough power to flip,or what parts has someone had to
put on there ski or cut the hull and stuff before they could go plate to plate with a RN
flatwater

Off your own wake, balls won't be enough.
It's easy enough off a v-wake. See avatar.

Cheapest way to flip is to buy an EME Q8 / Rickter XFS / BOB / Superfreak whatever else there is and a stock ported engine with a bpipe and a shaved head.

The time / Hours / Money spent on making your hull work and getting a big engine is unbelievable.. Im still yet to hear of someone flatwater flipping (off their own wake) on a stock hull.

Some people value their time a lot less then you might imagine, bob hulls are affordable(ish).
On Topic, can't EM nearly do a flatwater backflip on something stock?

The guy that i work with has a stock 701, no pipe. nothing but foodholds. and he can backflip and roll his SJ off of a V-Wake.

Sorry, i recorded this off my phone.

A v-wake is damn near surf, and a far cry from "off your own wake".

Edit: do you know if your buddy has trim?

One of our guys used to work for that show in Indiana, and he said the skis had no trim. Plus, Rob's been doing that stuff for a LONG time, so he's definitely got a lot more skill at backflipping a stock super jet off a V-Wake than most people.

So from what im picking up is you need balls, balls, and more balls lots of time an money,or two boats.what if we
take it back a bit to a nice barrel roll, does a trim give you a much bigger set up wake

thanks for all the replies

I was rollin my sj last summer. 701, drypipe, hooker, ada and holds. Hell my buddy was rollin a kawi sxi! you dont need crazy hulls and motors to do tricks...you need practice and a decent set-up you feel comfortabe on.

Crazy hulls and huge motors are just bragging rights for most people...dont get caught up in the hype. A nice handling rn hull with a decent motor will do ALMOST anything you could want it to. flatwater is the exception i guess, but when its flat we dont go out!

Spencer Wells from the UK was nosing in nice backflips on a stock hull with a Lamey/DASA power valve cylinder, 85mm flat top pistons(771cc), stock stroke crank, carbs were ATP twin carbs and ATP total loss and a B pipe.

This kid is like 6' 7" tall. He has some real skills. He came to Havasu for the Finals to compete for a couple years. Hes a real cool person. Had the chance to hang with down at Body beach a few times. Of course hes fun to watch ride too.

I'm moved by DASA power!
Ill vouch for md standup ski, it was very stock motor... til it blew up. and he is a very skilled rider. he can bf off of smaller boats than that, that one was pretty though. mine has way more mods, I have the balls too, just not the talent yet.
