Solas 12-vane mag pump stator

The spacing gets a lot of discussion but means almost nothing compared to the load that blade angle places on the engine. See how quickly it hits the pipe from idle. Do some blade bending if it doesn't get there fast. All stock Solas impellers have too much load for 701-760 engines. ALL OF THEM!!!

The freezer and oven method is such an easy way to do this. Sliding the shaft into the pump assembly with all that grease was a bit comical.

I went out and it was incredibly choppy however I could definitely tell something changed. it seems to accelerate quite a bit better from very low speeds... made for catching more air off barges waves haha. I of course need to do some more testing but so far seems like a definitely worth while mod!

This is the only prop/ ski I have ever had so its hard for me to say. Seems to have a lot of nice mid range power.

I always liken this mod to getting a fresh tire on a dirtbike, since I jetski with alot of my dirtbike buddies. The extra hookup and power delivery crispness is like fresh shoes on the braap cycle.

Impeller = gearing changes
Intake grate = perfectly tuned suspension to keep traction
The comparisons can go on but you get the point.

If you want more acceleration bore the nozzle. Check your RPM,, it should be at least 6800 with a stock 61X cylinder. It may be okay with a little less rpm as long as the pipe hits fast enough. Higher ports will need a little less load for more RPM.
