Solas 144 mag

So I'm making a parts list for my new build. For now I'm running a stock 701 just to get it together, I plan on running a dasa 850 within a year

Is the solas mag pump good enough for a dasa 850 in mostly surf riding with a little flat water use?

Al, It would be more then enough for a ss 850 dasa.

i have yet to ride with mine, but its build quality looks better than stock, so i dont see why it would give you a problem. only thing i could see is maybe overpowering the 144, and wanting a 155?

im going from a stock 650SN to 762 and solas/hooker

You're golden with the 144 solos mag up to the 850 and then some. Even at sea level. Keep posting up as you get questions on pump set up as things move along.

u can way over prop a SS 850 with a 144 mag...

Steve at Fast Elements was running a 9/15 hooker with his Dasa 850 in his freak with solas pump....fyi.

850 Dasa will drop to its knees with a 155 mag. 144 is plenty and still wouldn't need a very steep pitch. They aren't torque monsters

Just a FYI, we have pumps in stock, and EVERY one is turned on a lathe to straighten out the inner bore, and reduce bearing press. Do some searching on Solas pumps / bearing problems. If you purchase from me, I do not charge extra for this.... I have people sending in pumps that they buy elsewhere, and we charge 45.00 to turn it on the lathe.

make sure it is checked out and machined properly
or you may end up with a S.O.L.as bearing eater pump like I did
