The Rickter hulls have a small divot /dent in the firewall right where the midshaft housing seal is supposed to seal flush, if this has not been addressed during your build you will have cavitation issues
We typically bond our midshaft spacer plate to the hull with 5200 ,this than gives a perfect sealing surface for the midshaft housing and moves the bearing carrier forward so it is not hitting the firewall causing damage

Are you sure it's not an engine issue, like a misfire? That can shoe very similar symptoms to cavitation. Another way to check for cavitation is to leave the ski on the trailer, back it into the water and run the ski, when it does it's thing, heavy cavitation will show up as lots of bubbles/disturbed water coming out of the pump.

Watty - no misfires, the ski run strong for 4 seasons and had v.good power for a "rec 730cc" motor - I am leaning towards the midshaft issue - my engine is out will work on the midshaft and check - if needed will seal again or get CF spacer. I am having a mid season carnage so will address everything, step by step.

DB - thanks for the exact info on the midshaft housing issue on the rickters!
