a little confused here. On Impros website they show the complete pump assembly for $1649. You can buy the vein section for $495, you can buy the wear ring for $334, and now your telling us you can get the trim set up for $550. Why would somebody buy the pump?

Those four stainlees pump bolts must cost $67.50 each?

We shall see. Hoping to have it in my hands by the end of the week. Hopefully it is a direct fit and does not require too much tweaking. Either way, I will post up pics and we will all learn together.

I yanked my old trim system last night so my pump is out and on the bench ready to fit up to it.

can't wait to see how she looks and works!

Judging from the pic you sent me, it's going to need some work to get some more throw out of it. The more I look at it, the more it looks like a modded blaster or GP unit with nozzle rings added. I'm actually starting to get a bit disappointed but then again, I may just set this up like an 08+ SJ nozzle and just use the trim to adjust neutral angle. My current riding style really doesn't require trim anyways.

I'm kind of concerned what steering Ill be losing with the new nozzle as I'm coming from an extended protec that works perfectly for me... If I don't like the short one that came on the Solas I'd love to get pricing from you for one of those carbon ones!

Very nice. My Sato system has no fins. Is it cast from aluminum or plastic? Those fins look too smooth to be cast aluminum.

I guess mine didn't ship until after WF's so it won't be here till middle of next week.

she's a beauty for sure. i'm terriffied to install it for fear of what it will look like after a few rides haha

it is cast aluminum... looks like they powder coated it or painted it black. hard to tell bc whatever they used is thin enough to stills ee the very fine casting marks.

after buying the pump and all the new bearings and seals and impeller i'm too broke to buy anything to get the trim going so i'm about to start researching my options. i'm guessing i'll be looking for some nifty brackets and such to finish it off and get it operational but that will be a while...

Yeah, I wish I had mine already so I could help you out more. All the system is really missing is an anchor point for the trim cable. My Sato reduction nozzle has an anchor point welded right onto the reduction nozzle but I am sure that we can find or adapt a bracket similar to what other systems are using.

well, it wouldn't be all that difficult to weld a tab on... seems like after spening over $1500 on something you wouldn't have to fabricate things to get it to work but on the flipside, i guess it is a fairly universal setup so they couldn't really have a one-size-fits-all solution...

after wavedaze it'll be GO TIME for me.... i still need to press all the bearings and :):):):) in on the new pump and pull the driveshaft out of my existing pump....

First thing i do with fins in exit nozzles is take cresent wrench and snap them off . After that grind smooth . All they do is cause drag and slow you down . 12 vane mag pump has enough vane surface to straigten out water flow and stop ski from twisting over under power . Only needed on stock pump .
