Solution to SJ dash bolts for Hydro Turf?

I am re-turfing my RN Superjet and decided to remove the stock plastic dash cover. However, there are 4 large bolt heads for the electrical box on the other side. I have seen some turf right over it but you can clearly see the bolts protruding through. My thought was to do a strip of padding with cutouts for the bolts to minimize the protrusions. Option 2, try to find different hardware with a flatter head( I don't know what they are called). I'd rather not have to go to the hardware store to hunt down the correct size etc.. Any better way around this?

Simply aesthetics. I saw one ski, that was noticeable, and didn't like the way it looked. Just want to hear how others approached it. I probably will end up just turfing over it, if nothing else.

Mine has the turf cut like a square flap over the bolt heads. This way you can access the bolts (although this is not really needed). I bought it this way. If I was to do it over, I might cutout the area of the turf where the bolts are, and then use another piece of turf on top of the first layer of turf, all the way across just as high as needed to cover the bolts. Would look like a stipe. If you use the same color turf it would hardly be noticeable. Just a thought... Good luck

My dash is turfed and have Allen bolts & washers protruding. Its been good that I can access them, I have my hood strap mounted to them, later added a retreiver to them. Later needed to rotate one ebox mount to install TL and kick the ignition plate to the right to have room for the battery. I cut vacuum caps and silicon them to the bolt heads...

If you don't think you'll need to access them, I like your padding idea, maybe 9mm pad on the dash with recesses fir pan head bolts or your bolts, turf over the pad
