Someone please help, running out of ideas

I'm not a tuning guru by any means, but I'm having kind of similar issues.

I suspect reeds or a weak fuel pump in my case. Partially rebuild carbs, but didn't touch fuel pump.
Swapping the vent check valve and eliminating fuel selector helped, but issue returned. Some say it could be my temp sensor, but my ski is an SXR.

On my other ski my running issues were resolved with a new ebox setup. Sometimes the CDI gets weird and issues can be hard to trace.

Sorry to hear, gremlins can be so frustrating!

I'm really really really hoping that it is the reeds because like I said, this issue persists with a carb with a rebuilt fuel pump, and some older carb off a blaster. Also I have changed every electrical component in the ebox to no avail.
I plan to swap check valves.

You probably checked it when you checked your connections, but have you looked over your battery? Is it anything special or a dry cell? Still provide proper voltage?

The lines going into the tanks pull them up a little bit and see if that fixes it. I have had my lines slide down and it would run fine. Hit throttle hard and it would die. Fuel line was suctioning to the bottom of the tank. Closing off fuel to carbs

I was planning on switching from the reserve to the "on" straw to act as my main today.

Does it happen when you have a full tank of gas? And do you have the heat sensor still hooked up?

It happens at all volume occupancy. Temp sensor was cut long ago.

Broken waterbox baffle?????

start here

Would I not noticeably hear a weird noise if one of the baffles was broken? It's an OEM which was intact when I put it in the boat, but I can definitely check. Just really didnt want to have to take the tank out cus its full of gas right now. Might have to do some siphoning.

Cases are leaking air causing it to run rich are your plugs wet? I'd be surprised if it passes a leak down test I would start there

Also known as a "freeze" plug if you go to your local autoparts store.

What about a freeze plug on the carb hole and a bicycle tire tube cut to fit over the exhaust outlet and bolt the manifold back over the top of it. Cylinder > bike tube (2 layers?) > 18 gauge sheet metal piece > manifold. I think that would probably work up to 10 psi no problem.

i have had pretty much exact same symptoms two different times, both times it was clogged fuel filters. Once was my inline from tank, and other time it was the internal fuel filters inside my carbs. I know you said you checked these, but you might double check.

That will work.

To come back full circle, we need to clear up the things tried already on this list.

Carb rebuilt and swapped with an another - no change

All electrical components tested and swapped - no change

Fuel tank one way valve and all lines including in tank checked and cleared - no change

S.S. switch checked and checked and checked lol - no change

That about where we are so far?

just read through everything and im no expert but is your fuel tank breather the right way? does it work? possibly locking your tank up at WOT? just a thought since it seams live youve tried everything

Close, I have not tried it with a different start stop yet or with the different reeds. Soon after work I'm headed out there to give it a shot. Along with a bunch of little petty stuff.
