Kinda looks like it was just fiberglass painted black thats washing off... That sucks, ya i would definitly contact them. I've seen coatings turn white and you attemted to to clean the top layer.

Thank you guys for the opinion,
do you think this symptom will delaminating the ride plate? i see some island in the plate.

i did try to clean it with soap that i wash with my ski. and its getting abit better, especially after i took off from the ski and brush it.
i did contact them but they are in WF so, i would just have to wait a few days or so. let see.,,
anyway, here is more pictures after i brush off with soap.. pls help Fiber expert.. the plate is only touch the water 2 hours. Brand New..

It's really hard to see what's going on without actually holding something like this in your hands. Does the surface feel gritty or powdery?

If you can't see any delamination, I'd keep using that rideplate until Blowsion gets back to you. Good luck with it.

Hi Waternut,,, i will try to using it this weekend again and see what happend,,, i just dont want to spend $239,,and using it only few times,, i hope it will not delaminate,,but after search and read in google, it seems like starting to Delaminate.

i did get reply from blowsion to be answer when they get back from WF. i do hope my plate will be in 1 pcs.

i will take a pic again if i play this weekend.
thx
Dre

I have the D-cut version of this plate, and it did something similar but not as bad...as in, I had white stuff dried into the grooves of the weave pattern, but not covering the whole surface. I just assumed that it was just water spots or something, but now that I look at yours I don't think so. Mine is also fresh water use only. It basically looked like it had taken a salt bath.

These plates are a layer or two of carbon, a whole bunch of glass, and an outside gelcoat. Not what I was expecting for the money, but it's held up so far and is really light compared to the Jet Dynamics plate I had on there.

Anyway, for that bright white spot in the center of the plate: put a washer or two between the hull and plate to lower your plate down. Your plate is rubbing and being stressed on your pump housing. Ask me how I know. :) Check to make sure that your plate isn't hanging below your hull when you do this, but on my plate it wasn't a problem.

Thanks Aramis,
now that i heard somebody have a similar problem, i think it will not be Delaminating? I hope everything will be ok.
for the middle spot near the below nozzel, i do notice it but when i install, it doesnt touch but look pretty close to the plate, i will try to put the washer in the rear part just to make sure it will not touching it or hanging to low.
btw, there is a gap between the pumpshoe and the plate is it ok? or do i have to fill a silicon? the gap abt 6mm.

thanks again,
Dre.

looks like blushing... type of resin used for making the plate caused it to react like this to water and UV...
you can avoid this using a proper clear coat on top of the carbon layer or using adequate resin.

it's not delaminating... just a cosmetic appearance that causes the resin to react to external condition...

X2, exactly, or the resin /hardener ratio was not exact.
