I understand now that it is a fad neologism. I understand its usage and application.

Thank you.

sigh- I wish I could not identify with dirks plight. I too am a total cheapass lazy bastard!!! countless hours spent trying to find the workaround. it really is just better, easier and faster to do it right but not necessarily always cheaper.

Dirk I just did the same repair, get a home depot soldering torch, mine is yellow and has the self starter/ ignitor already on it. map gas ,butane whatever the hell it is. anyway you need some heat. carefully, slowly heat the white plate all over, then gently start prying it all up. take a sharpie and mark the outline of the glue before hand. when it comes off, scrape half the glue off one end, put it back in the hull and remark it so now it outlines the plate not the glue and then scrape the rest. I used a two part epoxy to put it back in. you will also need to do a search and find out how to PROPERLY install and shim the motor. (judging by the page count here that will be a 20+ page thread for you) :veryhappy:

if it is still stuck that well that you are having trouble getting stuff under it, why bother to fix it? its stuck bro- furthermore if its coming off, why try to slow it? obviously that glue is not holding and is going to start coming loose, better to fix it right before you have a real problem.

good luck.
