Yes that is an island, but there is a bathing beach diectly in front of it, which makes it off limits. But don't worry, there is pleanty of room all to enjoy.
Currently, the lake is drained & it's hard to get a perspective on water depth, but I would think we will be fine.

On a side note, the beach area has a band stand area & a nice beach/lawn. That is the planned area for the dinner

This is a great area. There are plenty of spaces to beach the skis at the campground. you can ride all out in front of the area in front of the island. It is somewhat of a cove . There is a main channel out in front where there are entrances to three marinas. The main channel can get pretty busy. Think of it as somewhat of a smaller version of lake Lanier. This campground also has better facilities for the event than at Lanier IMO even a small convenient store.You shouldn't be disapointed.:biggthumpup:

I dont think we need to worry. this Marina/campground is one of the larger ones on the lake and probably has a little pull. They have also hosted pwc events in the past. I'm sure that as long as we show respect and dont be stupid then there wont be any worries.:biggthumpup:
