Spark Plug Lifetime Warranty

Not sure if I'm the last one to know this or if it's a new thing but Advanced Auto Parts has lifetime warranties on their NYK spark plugs. Not sure if it's a local deal or company wide but I just thought I would put this out there.

I'd imagine fouled plugs or rust isn't a valid warranty claim.

Looking at their general warranty disclaimer it looks like for 90 days and doesn't cover commercial, racing, or off-road use.

I just happened to keep my old plugs from when I was tuning earlier in the season for some odd reason so I took them back and exchanged them. The counter monkey didn't bat an eye so I'll keep the receipt and keep exchanging them until they discontinue the warranty.

At $1.90/ea for a BR8HS Solid from Rockauto, why bother even driving to the auto parts store to hassle with trying to exchange them? I keep a bag of them in stock.

Also, I don't understand why they would warranty an obvious wear item, and a 2 stroke plug fouling may not be covered. Let us know if you are able to successfully exchange them.

Just passing this info along. Just worked out I had 4 fouled plugs bouncing around in my tool box so what the heck. I drive by the parts store every day anyway.
