Yup, you want to see a nice chocolate brown to show ideal fuel conditions...maybe consider 40:1 too. Also keep in mind the higher the octane number the slower the flame front across the piston. If you are only running around 150 psi then you should only be using 91 octane. Too slow of a burn and you will lose power but also just send raw fuel charge out the exhaust. On the opposite side of the spectrum, too low of an octane and the fuel will flash before it should causing too fast and hot of a flame front. This is known as detonation and typically will melt a hole in the center of the piston
