spark wire shocks me

I noticed yesterday that my rear spark wire shocks me when I touch it. Well, Wilkey noticed it first, but then made me touch it okey: Whenever water gets on the top of the motor, the rear plug cuts out intermittingly, then comes back to life. The ski is already loaded for Cleveland, but I'd like to get it right while I'm there, especially with a new motor in it. I have strong spark on both cylinders too.

i would think you could pull the boot and cut the wire back a little.

autozone or napa sell corrugated loom plastic stuff that is insulated well enough.

sleeve it with that, and then zip tie it away from any thing that is earthed ( grounded) to the engine.

Wrap it with some rubber vulcanizing tape .They sell it at HD in the plumbing supplies .it's black rubber and sticks to itself when wrapped aroung the wire and seals really well .
